ABOUT LISA GOEBEL:
Member at Large, HDPA Board of Directors 2010
I
am an animal lover, a vegetarian and I support a number of related causes,
including the HDPA. I am interested in seeing the HDPA grow and be much
more involved with the community, dog rescues and other dog related
activities city wide. I think the potential is limitless and I would
like to help educate Houston about the current dog parks, what it takes
to open a dog park, and I hope to see a number of annual events sponsored
by the HDPA with hundreds of vendors within 2 years. However any association
with big dreams and big goals requires dedication, commitment and time
from not only board members but volunteers. I was the volunteer coordinator
for Husky Haven for about a year. I am good at talking with people,
and giving presentations. I plan to educate people about the HDPA and
attend HDPA meetings as a dedicated Board member, as I have already
been doing for the last several months since I became involved as a
volunteer.
You can read more on Lisa's web site about her
involvement in dog rescue and other non-profit groups she has supported
for a number of years as well as info about why she started Rummy's
Beach Club recently. Rummy's is a "Warm Water Canine Health
Resort & Spa with Dog Swimming, Canine Exercise & Hydro Massage.
